RJS Construction Group, LLC (RJS), now a subsidiary of Reuben Johnson & Son,
Inc., was founded by the Johnson family of Superior, WI in 1956.
Since then, three generations of Johnsons have fostered and developed
the business, shaping it into a diverse, regional, multi-million dollar
construction services firm that specializes in commercial, industrial
and highway/heavy projects.
For over fifty years RJS has served the upper Midwest’s needs for quality,
professional construction services. RJS has built one of the largest fleets
of cranes, trucks and heavy equipment in the region to meet the demands of
its long list of clients.
RJS’s growth is attributed to strong executive leadership and the commitment
of its employees. A staff of able, professional project managers, estimators,
field superintendents and trades people all contribute to the company’s fifty
plus years of successful operations.
With construction as its core business, over the years Reuben Johnson & Son, Inc.
became the parent company of a diverse group of businesses involved in
district energy, banking, shipyards, real estate development, machining and
